AI Agents for automation
AI Agent for document review
With Eloquent you can create an AI agent that reviews documents for compliance, risks, or key insights. Instead of only processing and extracting structured data, this agent helps organizations understand, summarize, and assess their documents. Think of contracts, policies, or reports — the review agent highlights what matters and flags potential issues before humans sign off.
How it works
Upload documents (PDF, DOCX, TXT, etc.) or forward them by email.
Instruct the agent to review specific elements (e.g. risks, compliance checks, deadlines, missing clauses).
The agent summarizes findings, highlights risks, and suggests next steps.
Optionally, the agent can compare documents against historical examples or regulations stored in the knowledge base.
Our recommendations
Always keep a human in the loop → Review agents assist, but should never replace final human judgment.
Define clear review criteria → Be explicit in the prompt about what should be flagged (e.g. “mark any missing signature lines or ambiguous terms”).
Use structured outputs → JSON, checklists, or labeled text make it easier for teams to act on the results.
Integrate smartly → Route findings into CRMs, contract management tools, or ticketing systems for follow-up.
What can it do?
Summarize contracts or reports into short, clear overviews.
Flag risks or compliance issues based on predefined rules.
Check consistency (e.g. dates, totals, required fields).
Compare versions of a document to spot changes or omissions.
Highlight next steps for human reviewers.
What pain points does it solve?
Long review cycles where staff must manually read every document.
Missed risks in contracts or compliance-related paperwork.
Errors from overlooking small but critical details.
Lack of transparency in what has/hasn’t been checked.
Inefficient use of skilled employees on repetitive checks.
Who it’s for
This use case is especially relevant for:
Legal teams → reviewing contracts for missing clauses, risks, or obligations.
Finance & accounting → validating agreements, reports, or loan applications.
Healthcare & wellness → checking patient or insurance forms for completeness.
Education → ensuring applications or grant paperwork are filled correctly.
Public sector → reviewing citizen-facing documents for compliance and accessibility.
How to set it up
We’ll soon release templates, but for now we recommend:
Agent temperature: 0.1 (stay strict and consistent).
Reranking: Off (documents are narrow and focused).
Embeddings: 10 (good for summarization/review tasks).
Similarity: Default.
Example in action
Law firm → A review agent checks incoming contracts for renewal dates and missing clauses, then creates a structured checklist for the legal team.
Public sector organization → A review agent screens subsidy applications, highlighting incomplete or inconsistent fields for staff to resolve.
Both examples show how review agents save time and reduce risk, while keeping humans in full control of critical decisions.
Together with Document Processing Agents, review agents give agencies a powerful story: you can automate the boring parts, and support the critical parts — all under your client’s brand.
