Our AI chatbot works with every type of website. You can read our generic guide in the chapter below. If you would like a specific guide for the CMS platform of your choice we would love to write one for you.
Adding your own AI chatbot to a website is quick and easy — you can do it in three steps.
Log in, click Create agent, and you’ll land in the Playground.
Start by configuring your agent in Eloquent’s Playground. The exact steps can vary a bit depending on the interface and triggers you choose, so this guide focuses on a setup that requires no custom development.
For a standard embed, choose either the Center Stage or Chatbot interface, and enable the Floating input and/or Floating corner triggers.
Next, connect your website to the agent. Simply enter your website URL and your chatbot will automatically learn from your website content.
We store your sitemap, so the agent can automatically check for updates every 24 hours — meaning your chatbot stays up to date as your website changes. Then review the remaining settings, apply your branding, and test the chatbot in the Playground. You can fine-tune the prompt or choose one of our thoroughly tested templates. When everything looks good, you’re ready for the final step.
In the side menu of your agent, open Deploy to find the installation instructions.
You’ll get a small code snippet that needs to be placed in the <head> of your website. The exact location doesn’t matter much, as long as it’s included site-wide.
If you don’t manage the website yourself, you can enter the email address of your website administrator — we’ll email them the exact steps to place the snippet for you. This usually takes less than 10 minutes.
To avoid impacting performance, we defer loading the agent so it doesn’t affect your page speed.

Even though the chatbot always runs via one JavaScript snippet, there are a few common ways teams place that snippet on the site. Choose whatever matches how you manage your CMS.
Here are the most common questions about how Eloquent works, how setup and deployment works, and what you can expect once it’s live.
General
Eloquent's AI chatbots works on basically any website or CMS that supports JavaScript and where you can add a small JavaScript snippet. That includes major platforms like WordPress, Webflow, Drupal, Shopify, and Squarespace but also custom build websites or CMS platforms. We also publish platform-specific setup guides.
No problem. Our AI chatbot works with any website, so you can follow the generic guide on this page. If you’d like a dedicated guide for your CMS, you can request it and we’ll happily write one for you.
Yes. If your site can load a JavaScript snippet, you can run an Eloquent AI chatbot. For custom platforms, setup usually means: (1) setting up your agent using our software, and (2) placing a JavaScript snippet in the <head> of your website.
You connect your website URL in Eloquent and the chatbot is trained on your website content. We store your sitemap so the agent can automatically check for changes every 24 hours, keeping your AI chatbot up to date.
Yes. Eloquent doesn’t depend on your website having separate language versions. It can learn from your content in one language (for example English) and answer visitors in 95+ languages, so you often don’t need to translate your site first. If you do have multilingual pages, Eloquent can use them too, but it’s not required.
No. Eloquent defers loading the AI chatbot, so it doesn’t impact your page speed or block your website from loading.
Yes. You control the chatbot’s behavior through its setup in the Playground: instructions (prompt), templates, branding, and which website content it should use. You can test and refine responses before going live.
Yes. You can review conversations and visitor questions to see what people are looking for, what works well, and where your site (or chatbot setup) can be improved.
In the Deploy step, you can enter the email address of your website administrator. They’ll receive the instructions to place the snippet for you. This is usually less than 10 minutes of work.
Pricing depends on usage and the setup you need. See the pricing page for details (or contact us and we’ll recommend the best starting point).
